"Large Ceramic Dish In The Style Of Gilbert Valentin"
Large glazed ceramic dish, work from the 1950s-60s attributable to Vallauris. Modernist decoration evoking a stylized landscape: blue-grey background enhanced with a bright orange solar disk. A sober and graphic composition, typical of post-war production, in the spirit of ceramists Gilbert Valentin and André Baud. Wheel-thrown piece, superimposed polychrome glaze. Signature incised on the reverse, unidentified.
