SABER-BAYONET for REMINGTON Model 1868 rifle – With scabbard.Italy, 19th century.
Steel, brass, iron.
Total length without scabbard: 69.5 cm; blade length: 57.4 cm.
Yatagan blade with wide fuller on each side.
Brass handle fluted with 15 ribs and stamped MC; iron crossguard stamped AR. Rivet button protruding from the heel of the pommel. Ferrule diameter 17mm.
Iron scabbard, bridge.
Good condition.
