Total length: 114 cm - Barrel length: 72 cm - Muzzle diameter: 13 mm

Gras-type breech block. Breech lever marked G18.
Metric rear sight on the breech block.
Bronzed iron barrel with smooth bore, front sight and rear sight.
Hinged cap.
Long walnut stock; hinged at the butt; marked V- St- Ene, with the town's stamp marked Fusil Scolaire Mre à St ETIENNE, 1882. Registered number 253.
