Note: Jacques Blin is a major French ceramist of the post-war period, known for his organic forms and engraved decorations inspired by cave art or animal imagery. A former aeronautical engineer, he turned to ceramics in the 1950s. He developed earthenware pieces. President of the Salon des Ateliers d'Art de France, he succeeds Marcel Guillot.
