Metric rear sight on the breech block.
Smoothbore iron barrel with front sight and bayonet lug.
Hinged cap
Long wooden stock; hinged at the butt. Iron butt plate.
The stock is stamped with the numbers 17 and 55 on one side and marked with the ANDREUX PARIS Bte S.G.D.G. medallion topped with a seven-flamed grenade on the other. Inspection stamp.
Ramrod missing.
