Small Bressan Enamel Box
Pretty little oval-shaped jewelry box in enameled metal and gilded brass mount with a Napoleon III style beading and flower decoration. The body and lid are in Bresse enamels on copper. These enamels were only made in Bourg-en-Bresse and were very fashionable in the 19th century. Very good general condition except for the very worn interior fabric at the bottom. A piece of blue moire is also missing under the box.
