Large Trumeau From The Estate Of Alberto Bruni Tedesco, Turin, Circa 1770
Rich carved and gilded interlacing with a painted cartouche. The sumptuous multicolored floral still life is attributed to the Turin painter Michele Antonio Rapous. All the mirrors are original!
This trumeau comes from the estate of Alberto Bruni Tedesco, Carla Bruni's father. Part of the collection was auctioned in 2007 by Sotheby's in Milan. The trumeau was not included in the auction at the time; it was kept by the heirs. However, this trumeau is depicted in the Sotheby's catalog in an interior view, which proves its origin. It was sold in the 1960s to Alberto Bruni Tedesco by the art dealer Pietro Accorsi.
