This lithograph “La Féérie des Heures - L'Aube” is signed Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp at the bottom right. The work is authentic and old. For the condition, note a slight fold in the right margin, a hollow mark in the middle of the top margin. Small stains in the margin and on the litho. The lithograph is very fresh in color, once framed most of the defects will be barely visible. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, of the shadow theater at the Cabaret du Chat Noir, shows that he improved by creating very innovative color sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, woodcuts, lithography and watercolor (he painted around a thousand watercolors).
