Oil on canvas depicting the interior of Saint Germain l'Auxerrois immediately after February 14, 1831. On February 14, 1831, the church was devastated on the occasion of the commemoration of the eleventh anniversary of the assassination of the Duke of Berry by rioters hostile to the monarchy and the previous regime. The painting is on its original canvas but has some damage, including a long horizontal and vertical tear. It is framed in its original frame of wood and gilded stucco decorated with eggs and pearls. The dimensions of the painting without the frame are 56x46 cm, 65 x 55 cm with the frame
