Oil on canvas 55 cm x 38 cm sold with its Montparnasse Louis XV style frame 72 cm x 55 cm signed lower left and representing a ballerina in a tutu. Sold with invoice-certificate. Oil in very good condition from the 40s / 50s. Leon Galand (1872-1960) is a major painter referenced at Benezit, student of Robert Delaunay and Gustave Moreau, he obtained the gold medal at the Salon des Artistes Français and second prize of Rome. Decorated with the Legion of Honor, one of his paintings is kept at the Fable Museum in Montpellier!
