Object description :

"Vintage Signet Ring Masonic Symbol Yellow Gold & Diamonds"
Superb Vintage Masonic signet ring in 585/°° (14 carat) yellow gold decorated with the square and compass surmounted by the Eye of Providence with the G in the center, which can be interpreted as the first letter of the Great Architect of the Universe (GADLU), central creative principle in Freemasonry, or the first letter of Geometry, or even the first letter of Gnosis depending on the orientation of the lodge. These symbols are on the left, on a hatched background and above a square paved with diamonds. The initiate interested in this signet ring will appreciate the duality or ambiguity of this jewel marked 18K in the body and yet in 14k. S Circa 1950.
