"Onyx And Cloisonné Enameled Bronze Tray – 19th Century"
A delightful tray resting on four gilt bronze legs. The center is made of a natural veined onyx, in delicate shades of white, pink and ochre, framed by a bronze border finely decorated with polychrome cloisonné enamel. The decoration features arabesques, foliage and stylized flowers in vibrant shades of blue, red, ivory and gold, illustrating the refined taste of neo-Renaissance and Orientalist ornamentation of the second half of the 19th century. A work of great elegance, probably French, circa 1880-1900. A high-quality decorative piece, ideal for a collection of cloisonné, onyx, gilt bronze or 19th century decorative arts. Dimensions: diameter 20 cm
