Japanese sculpture of a lion - Shishi. Made of glazed ceramic and hand-painted. Under his left paw, he holds a Temari ball. The lion is depicted in a very decorative and ornamental manner.

Good condition, soiling, slight scratches on the paint and cracks which, however, appear to be firing defects and not damage.
