Belgium / 1915 / Console / metal, copper / Art Deco / Art Nouveau / Jugendstil
Unique console in the manner of Belgian Art Deco designer Gustave Serrurier-Bovy, ca. 1915. This tall sleek console has a black cast iron tripod constructed base and a triangular copper top. The removable top was crafted in curved pink copper and decorated with geometric cut outs. Was professionally restored.
The sleek black base of this rare piece contrasts in a stylish and elegant way with the fragile pink copper top. The form of this special piece is strongly reminiscent of the Art Nouveau period but also of the floral lines of the Jugendstil period and the sober Arts and Crafts movement.
This console is a true work of art that will elevate your space.
