19th Century European Oil Painting Panoramic Landscape Sunrise With Pond Framed

An atmospheric antique oil on canvas from the late nineteenth century presents a radiant sunrise over quiet countryside. In the center a large disk of the sun is half risen above the horizon and sends golden light across endless fields. Pre-dawn mist softly envelops a distant mountain and a forest mass, shaping a gentle aerial perspective that shows thoughtful control of light and shadow. In the foreground of the composition is a small pond framed by young trees, grass, and reeds, in which the first rays of the rising sun are reflected. Two modest earthen dwellings can be seen on the right side, adding human presence to this pastoral scene. In the lower left corner an unclear artist’s signature is visible, whose authorship we were unable to establish. This original 19th century landscape of the European school, likely painted during travels through the picturesque regions of Southern Europe, will fill your interior with the quiet poetry of dawn.
Size app.: 12.8 × 30 cm (roughly 5 x 11.8 in), frame 28.6 × 45.6 cm (roughly 11.3 x 18 in). Overall in good condition with wear such cracks/ craquelure in paint and some retouches. Bronze finish gesso wood frame that appears to be period-appropriate. Please study good resolution images for cosmetic condition. In person actual painting may appear darker or brighter than in our pictures, strictly depending on sufficient light in your environment.
