The
Antique Sculpture proposed here was made of
Bronze metal and represents Two Large Panthers. The 20th century work has its
original Green Patina. Period early decades of the twentieth century. The sculpture proposes
two Panthers, two threatening and aggressive Beasts, powerful and strong, which rest on a
black marble. The sculpture is
signed on the Bronze I. Rochard French sculptor of animals, especially felines and animals in general, panthers, lions and others.
Irénée Rochard (1906-1984) was born January 16, 1906 in Villefranche Sur Saône (Rhône) and died in 1984 in Paris. From 1924 to 1928 he was a student at the
Beaux Arts School. During his career he received
numerous awards and medals in 1931 gold medal, in 1941 bronze medal, in 1948 silver medal. Finally in
1980 he received the Grand Prix for Animal sculptures. Many of his works have been purchased by the city of Paris and New York. Bronze statue with marble base,
