Pair of finely chiseled and gilded grey and bronze porphyry cassolettes. Each cassolette features an ovoid bowl, encircled by a bronze mount, resting on three uprights decorated with finely sculpted ram's heads. The feet end in claw-shaped hooves resting on a triangular base with cut sides. The lids, richly decorated with foliate motifs, are topped with a pine cone. France 19th century
