Biography : Jean Ekiert (1907–1993) Polish painter born in Kombornia, Jean Ekiert showed remarkable artistic talent very early on. Trained in Poland and then in Paris after the Second World War, he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts and the Académie André Lhote. Based in Montmartre, he exhibited in France and internationally (New York, Jerusalem, Quebec, Brussels, etc.). Winner of the Plastic Art Prize of the Literary Institute "Kultura", he evolved from lyrical abstraction to original figuration. His works are preserved at the Polish Library in Paris.
