Long blade with a wide back signed Jacquesson, 12 rue de Richelieu, Paris on the fort. Pink brass guard with multiple branches known as Nancy style, monogrammed PM on the wide quillon, with the officer's name. Filigree bovine horn knuckle, small chip at the base. Chrome-plated steel scabbard with a bail ring. Thick buffalo tie.
Good condition, rare marking of a private furnisher, the officer's fancy in the metal alloy, the number of branches and his engraved monogram. Quality saber, in a long version intended for the cavalry. Steel, brass, horn, leather.
