The blade is etched and blued, inscribed Lothring. Train Battalion No. 16 for the 16th Battalion of the Lorraine Train, attached to the XVI Corps of the Imperial German Army. Unit garrisoned in Saarlouis, Rhineland Province, Kingdom of Prussia. The fuse is made of black bakelite, without watermark. Black lacquered iron scabbard with fixed bail ring on the 1907 model.

Very good condition, blade in its original chrome and blueing, Lack of chrome on the handle, no play, scarlet felt tie present, missing the tightening screw under the scabbard cup. Steel, iron, chrome, bakelite, felt, black lacquer.
