He was the eldest of four brothers. He moved with his family to Venice while still a child and lived in Campo Santo Stefano, on the ground floor of Palazzo Pisani. He attended classical secondary school and, as a student, made an important trip to Germany. From his marriage to Marie Rose Catalan, French, he had two children, Claudia in 1933 and Giancarlo in 1943. A renowned painter, he participated in Venice (city where he had settled with his entire family) first in the eighth collective exhibition of Ca' Pesaro (1913) then the following year in the Biennale, presenting the work "Pensive enfant" (he was the youngest artist to exhibit). He then participated in three other editions of the Venice Biennale in 1922, 1924 and 1926. Carlo Cherubini signed "Car Cher" in the works produced from 1911 to 1920. He was in Paris in 1927, where he decorated the Lido des Champs Elysées. In 1929, one of his personal exhibitions was organized at the Galerie de la Renaissance in Paris. In 1930, he received the Honorable Mention and in 1932 the Silver Medal. In 1933 he was in New York where he painted for the Lido Club on Long Island. In 1937 he exhibited in Pittsburgh. In 1940 he was in Venice where he decorated, among other places, the Al Colombo restaurant. The recognizable and characteristic subjects of Cherubini's artistic production are the female nude, masked figures and the Venetian landscape, even the vibrant and luminous pictorial composition characterized by bright colors is particularly suggestive and identifiable. Several exhibitions have been dedicated to him in recent times: the exhibition Carlo Cherubini dates back to 2012. A Venetian Painter in Paris at the Galleria Nuova Arcadia in Padua, while in 2015 the exhibition Carlo Cherubini was held in Scorzè, Villa Orsini. In 2011, a catalog of his works was published, entitled Carlo Cherubini, edited by Guido Moro and Michele Rovoletto.
