Delftware tobacco jar and brass lid. Decorated with an Indian chief smoking a pipe. Sitting next to a large jar inscribed with 'Havana' and bales of tobacco and other goods.  One is labeled 'VOC' for the Dutch East India Company.  Trading ships in the distance.  Base is marked 'BP' for 'De Vergulde Blompot'  Dutch  Delftware, 18th century.

Height without lid: 20.6 cm

Condition: Chip to rim and associated break to base of neck restored
