La Cofradia de las diez enterredores (the brotherhood of the ten undertakers) etching by Ricardo Baroja y Nessi 1910 (Minas de Rio Tinto, Huelva 1871 -Vera de Bidasoa, Navarre 1953) artist's signature in pencil lower right, numbered 150-31 lower left Ricardo Baroja was a Spanish painter, engraver, actor and writer. His work as an engraver is remarkable and he is considered a disciple of Goya. In 1900 he created his famous etching Asphalt Poseurs à la Puerta del Sol and in 1903 he founded the magazine "Arte Joven" with Picasso and Francisco de Asis Soler.
