Antique Case Carved Gilded Linden Wood Italy XVIII Century
Antique case, inverted truncated pyramid structure rests on four curved feet carved with scrolls and leaves, as do the uprights. Side panels are carved with ears of wheat and grape vines, while the aprons and cornices are carved with leaves and scrolls. Central panel with an open compartment surmounted by a pair of winged cherubs, bunches of grapes, and intertwined garlands on the sides. Floral carvings on the apron and scrolls on the cornice. Italy, first half of the 18th century.
