An impressive and powerful pair of large Thai bronze lions, crafted in the form of Singha—mythical lion guardians traditionally placed at the entrances of temples to ward off evil. These striking figures, with their fierce expressions and finely incised ornamentation, are exceptional representations of protective Buddhist iconography.

The meticulous detail in the manes, facial features, and ceremonial armor demonstrates skilled craftsmanship in the Thai tradition. Each lion is cast in solid bronze, giving them substantial presence and weight. Their design closely echoes the iconic bronze Singha at the Royal Chapel of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) in Bangkok, as seen in the final reference photo.

Period: Early 20th century, possibly earlier
Origin: Thailand
Material: Bronze
Condition: Very good, with minor surface wear consistent with age
Dimensions (each): Height 60 cm × Depth 29 cm × Width 27 cm

These guardian lions would make a striking decorative statement indoors or out, and are ideal for collectors of Buddhist art, architectural salvage, or Southeast Asian antiques.
