Oil on cardboard by the painter Maurice Levis (1860-1941), representing a view of Pontoise, with the Oise or Viosne crossing it. Very fine work, highlighting the artist's mastery. Signed lower right. Label on the back where the artist has located his subject and countersigned and specified "Hors concours". Another label mentions: "Maurice Lévis, born in 1860, Gold Medal 1927. Hors concours aux A. Français. View of Pontoise ..." Very good condition. Gilded wooden frame with chips and missing corners. Overall dimensions: 26x30 cm Cardboard only: 18x14 approx.
