Two 19th Century Japanese Cloisonne Dishes
Two round cloisonné dishes from Japan, Meiji style, from the second half of the 19th century. Polychrome enamel decoration on copper, one with a sparrow on a basket of flowers, and the other with two sparrows in flight in flowering branches, each bordered by a leafy frieze. Enamel losses on the backs, a small deformation on one border.
