Small hexagonal vase in Canton enamel, China, 19th century Technique & material: copper entirely covered with a polychrome and gold painted enamel, typical of the production known as "Canton enamels". Shape: truncated body with six sides slightly flared towards the opening, resting on a large hexagonal foot with projection. Decoration: On three sides, a polylobed cartouche framed by a blue line presents animated genre scenes. The other sides carry stylized bouquets executed in gold line on the same deep blue background. Highlights: gold lines highlighting the edges and the upper rim. Condition: beautiful brightness of the colors; small wear of use of the gilding on the base and rim, tiny chips without seriousness.
