Object description :

"Paul Michel Library In Elm Burl And Lacquer – Part 2 Of The 20th Century"
The elm burl bookcase, made in the workshops of Paul Michel in Bressuire in the second half of the 20th century, certainly for Roche Bobois, embodies both the elegance and functionality of period design. Its careful design highlights the refinement of the precious wood, enhanced by a polyester varnish and a black lacquer, which give it a glossy and sophisticated finish. Designed to adapt to the needs of its owner, this modular piece of furniture is divided into several harmonious sections. The lower unit consists of two doors concealing a fixed shelf, as well as a second unit equipped with four drawers, separated by an open storage space. This arrangement allows for optimal organization, providing both a closed storage space and an accessible area. The upper part, meanwhile, offers great flexibility thanks to its six adjustable shelves, allowing the layout to be adapted according to the objects and works to be highlighted. Two modules with glass doors complete the set, offering an elegant display case which protects while displaying precious pieces. This piece of furniture is a fine example of the craftsmanship of the Paul Michel workshops, illustrating the ingenuity and aesthetics of 20th century furniture. Its timeless style and ergonomic design make it a centerpiece, as practical as it is elegant. *********Period: Mid 20th centuryExcellent conditionVarnished finishDelivery possible in France and internationally on quote.Dimensions:Width: 277 cmDepth: 50 cmHeight: 235 cmRef.100625
