"“kilimanjaro” Pendant By Bjorn Weckstrom For Lapponia"
This sterling silver and acrylic pendant and chain were made by renowned Finnish jeweler Bjorn Weckstrom in his signature modernist style around 1970. This example, known as "Kilimanjaro," combines a sculpted face in silver with a matching face in acrylic with an iridescent cobalt blue inclusion. The chain, without a clasp, features his signature circular-accented bar. The pendant is signed, but slightly obscured by the acrylic, and bears the Finnish silver hallmark and the first three letters "LAP" for Lapponia Finland.
