Pair of railings. Wrought iron. Segovia, 16th century. Pair of wrought iron railings with facing balustrade-shaped bars, each with discs. They are decorated with two opposing "C"-shaped elements that alternate the bars. Stylistically, they follow common models of the Castilian Renaissance school. Compare with the balustrades of the Casa de Pilatos in Seville, dating from the 15th century, or with the one preserved in the Santa Cruz Museum in Toledo (Spain), from the convent of San Juan de la Penitencia and made by Juan Francés in 1528. - Dimensions: 159x25x97.5 cm and 161x19x97.5 cm
