This exceptional antique oil painting is attributed to the circle of Raphael (Raffaello Sanzio, 1483–1520) and Giovanni Francesco Penni (1496–1528), one of Raphael’s closest pupils and collaborators. Titled Madonna of the Walk, the composition dates to the early 16th century (circa 1518–1520) and exemplifies the serene elegance and devotional tenderness that define Raphael’s mature style.
