Bust of Diane de Poitiers. Patinated bronze on pedestal, second half of the 19th century.
Based on the work of French sculptor Jean Goujon (1510-1567).
This bust is not a portrait but a tribute to Diane de Poitiers, based on the work entitled "Diane d'Anet" or "Fountain of Diane"
exhibited at the Louvre.
The goddess is depicted wearing a high headdress adorned with pearls and a tiara.
