Charcoal in perfect condition......Signed and Dated lower left......37/28 cm at sight.....Natural wood frame of 48.5/38.5 cmAaron Bilis (1893-1971) Painter, draftsman, Miniaturist, Portraitist (+ 2000 Portraits).......Imperial Academy of Fine Arts of Odessa, Fine Arts of Paris......Left to Argentina where he took the Nationality.......Remained in South America until 1928.....In Paris, he produced Portraits of Painters, Musicians, Researchers, Soldiers, Politicians, Writers.......Salon des Indépendants, d'Automne......Took refuge in Garrigou in Ariège during the War of 1939/45, he bought a house which became his refuge....Died between two Exhibitions in Porto at Portugal.
