A solid silver filigree spice tower, besamim. Austria-Hungary circa 1890. Silversmith to be identified. Second grade. 800/1000. Weight 180 gr. Height 24.5 cm. Base length 6.5 cm. A spice tower, box, or besamim is used during Havdalah, a Jewish ritual that marks the end of the holy Sabbath. The main body of the tower is formed in three distinct tiers. Complete with 5 small flags and 4 bells. The filigree is in very good condition. Traces of use.
