"A. Chabaud (1882-1955), Oliver Threes, Oil On Canevas Signed, With Frame Bouche"
In 1906, he moved back to Paris and until the First World War alternated between stays in Paris and Graveson. During this period, he produced a powerful, direct body of work, both Fauvist and Expressionist, which placed him in the ranks of the avant-garde. He frequented the Moulin de la Galette, the cabarets, and the brothels of Montmartre, which became his favorite subjects.
