Small mahogany desk or "à la Tronchin" table, Directoire period, circa 1795.
The piece opens with a drawer (with a key) in the belt and is upholstered in green leather gilded with a small iron. The top, forming a writing table, lifts to form a desk. The edge of the top is decorated with a gilt bronze ingot mold.
It rests on four sheathed legs ending in sabots.
H x W x D = 74 x 90 x 68 cm
