Biedermeier cherry wood extending table with brass bands from southwest Germany circa 1820.
Solid cherry wood strongly oval top. On the frame with original rounded brass bands. Six square tapered legs, at the bottom with original brass rollers. Original extension mechanism in solid oak. 3 complementary tops of approx. 58 cm in cherry veneer. Extendable in 4 different lengths. Fully extended (3 tops), the table can accommodate up to 10 people.
Condition restored and hand-polished with shellac.
