Object description :

"Pair Of L.xv Caned Chairs, Beech, 18th Century"
Very beautiful pair of Louis XV chairs in molded and carved beech with cane bottom, queen's back. They have kept the spirit of the Regency, no stamp but to be compared to the production of Etienne MEUNIER, seat carpenter rue de Cléry in Paris. The sculptures of flowers, acanthus leaves, burst pomegranates are identical. Circa 1740-1745. Note two small restorations under the scrolls of the front legs of a seat. The canes redone. Perfect condition.
