Description:


Serge Belloni, nicknamed "The Painter of Paris," dedicated his artistic life to capturing the timeless essence of Paris and Venice. Every day, in all weather, he immortalized the changing faces of the City of Light and the City of Doges.


This beautiful painting transports us to Paris, with its interesting view of the Place Furstenberg under the rain. Belloni loved spending autumn and early winter in Paris, where the bare trees revealed the architecture and authentic soul of the city. He spent the rest of the year in Venice, capturing its unique light.

Biography:


Born in Italy in 1925, Serge Belloni settled in Paris in 1933. He studied at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts and held his first exhibition at the age of 21. Throughout his life, he devoted himself to painting, working every day in all weather to capture the essence of Paris.


His travels to Holland allowed him to master the techniques of the Flemish masters, which he refined throughout his career. His works are featured in prestigious collections around the world, from Paris to New York, Milan, and Moscow.
