Lucien René Mignon (1865 – 1944)
He began his drawing studies in Angers before coming to the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris in the studio of Jean-Léon Gérôme in 1886. Linked to a long friendship with Renoir He was one of his first students and disciple. Known for his portraits, nudes, landscapes, still lifes, his artistic legacy, characterized by a delicate style and a lasting influence of Impressionism, is perpetuated through his works preserved in various museums and public collections around the world.
