Large and beautiful Saint Joseph in lime wood carved in the round dating from the 18th century.
Beautiful sculptural work with a face with particularly fine features, a draped tunic with many folds, as well as hands and feet pushing the detail to the tips of the nails.
This statue was intended to be placed as an applique against a wall, which explains why the back is less worked. Cracks, small accidents and traces of old restorations visible in the photos.
