Japanese okimono from the Tokyo school, dating from the Meiji period (1868-1912), depicting a wheat carrier accompanied by his son. The scene, of great finesse of execution, shows the father holding a bundle of wheat in his right hand. Finely crafted ivory sculpture from the end of the 19th century.
