Made of blackened wood and richly decorated with repoussé bronze plaques.
The front features an architectural composition framing a large central door with mythological decoration depicting Hercules slaying the Lernaean Hydra, an emblematic scene of heroic strength.
The drawers and side panels are decorated with Renaissance motifs: leafy scrolls, grotesque masks and fantastic figures finely crafted in bronze.
This cabinet combines the architectural rigor of the Renaissance with the ornamental virtuosity of the 19th century, in a particularly careful execution. Good general condition with some wear and small traces of friction. Retained patina of time.
