Note: Originally from Sarno near Naples, Glarner studied at the Naples School of Fine Arts in 1914. He became a drawing teacher in 1917 in Sarno before emigrating to Paris to continue his studies and begin his avant-garde paintings. This is therefore a rare figurative painting by Glarner, a testament to his formative years.
