Genuine small Transition period inlaid chest of drawers - 18th century Stamped Jean-Baptiste PIGNIT (1745 - July 16, 1791). Joiner-cabinetmaker. Paris. Received Master on February 12, 1777. Superb small chest of drawers inlaid in rosewood, violet wood in the reserves, on the front and on the sides. Framed with lemon tree fillets on the drawers. It opens with two drawers with a crosspiece on two rows. Lock entries and pull handles in gilded bronze. It is topped with its original Gris Saint Anne marble. It rests on cambered and tapered legs fitted with small sabots. Charming small chest of drawers with its "JB PIGNIT" stamp on the right rear upright. Period furniture in very good general condition.
