Majestic vase in multi-layer colored glass paste on an orange background, with acid-etched plant decoration. Naturalistic detail of a flying insect in the decoration.
Signed Muller Frères Lunéville Art Nouveau period.
Very good condition.

The technique of "fluo engraving" was developed and perfected between 1905 and 1908 by the Muller brothers.
This technique consists of attacking the glass with hydrofluoric acid.
On a very opaque white background, two other layers of glass - duck blue and midnight blue are superimposed.
The decoration is acid-etched and finished with a grinder.
