""snack" Directoire, Late 19th Century, In Walnut And Cherry."
It opens with two drawers on the front and another on the right side which received inkwells or small bottles. The keyholes are original. The 'cabaret' top is 'framed' and below is placed a gilded bronze bas-relief: five small 'loves' represent the five Arts; it is signed 'P. LECASTELO'. This 'snack' piece of furniture rests on four long 'sheath' legs, connected by a crotch shelf also in 'cabaret' and 'framed'. Small 'flying' piece of furniture very fashionable under the Directory where it could find its place anywhere, in an elegant home. Very good original condition.
