"Volkstedt - Pierrette Porcelain Figure On A Donkey By Emil Paul Börner"
Volkstedt porcelain figurine of a pierrette on a donkey. This model was created by Emil Paul Börner, one of the most versatile and productive artists at the Meissen porcelain factory in the 1920s, who later headed its art departments at Meissen. In the late 1960s, the oldest Volkstedt porcelain factory acquired several of the artist's figurine models to enrich its collection. He was convinced that his figurines were in good hands, among the best in the country. These figurines were highly elaborate, both in production and painting. Produced in small quantities, they were considered collector's items. Blue Volkstedt factory mark and intaglio mark EB 111 for Emil Borner, as well as the model number. Measurements: 19x9x21cm
