Very interesting covered vegetable dish from the Empire period in solid silver of the first title (950%). Hallmarks of guarantee of Paris for the period 1809-1819. Lid and basin are engraved with the coat of arms of General Raphaël de Casabianca (1738-1825). Count Casabianca was raised to the rank of peer of France by Napoleon I and confirmed in this dignity by Louis XVIII after a very long and impressive military career which began under Louis XV as captain of the Corsican infantry regiment. He participated in the Italian campaign under Bonaparte. Details are available on his Wikipedia page. The vegetable dish is in perfect condition and weighs approximately 1125 grams.
